M101 in Ursa Major

Description: M101 is a gorgeous face-on spiral galaxy about 24 million light years distant. 
Exposure Data: 5/24-6/10, 2007.  LRGBHa: 36x10m, 14x10m, 14x10m, 14x10m, 12x20m, RGBHa 2x2. -15C, 0.55 arc-sec./pixel.
Processing: Acquired via CCDAutoPilot and CCDSoft, calibrated in CCDStack, color combine in MaximDL, final processing in PixInsight and PS CS3.
Optical System: 14.5 Ritchey-Chretien @ F/9 w/FFC, Apogee Alta U16M/FLI CFW-7 CCD camera, AstroDon filters, Paramount ME, dithered 3 pixels, off-axis guided with SBIG ST-402ME.
Comments: 17 hours total exposure.  Color correction and Ha blending using Chris Schur's methods from AIC 2006.
