M8, The Lagoon Nebula, in Sagittarius

Description: This is a complex and fascinating object consisting of a star cluster on the bpttp, center, the hour glass toward the top, some dark nebula and some globules.  For more info, please see this link for additional details.
Exposure Data: 6/26/2008 RGB: 8x20m, 8x20m, 8x20m. -15C, 0.55 arc-sec./pixel
Processing: Acquired via CCDAutoPilot and CCDSoft, calibrated, LRGB  combine in CCDStack, final processing in PS CS3.
Optical System: 14.5 Ritchey-Chretien @ F/9 w/FFC, Apogee Alta U16M/FW50-7S CCD camera, AstroDon filters, Paramount ME, dithered 3 pixels, off-axis guided with SBIG ST-402ME.
Comments: Individual master color frames were scaled for extinction then added to form a synthetic luminance, which was used to create the LRGB image in CCDStack.
