|Description:||This reflection nebula is currently thought to
consist of dust and gases excited by R Monocerotis and changes its
appearance over relatively short periods.
|Exposure Data:||12/22/2003. LRGB: 6x10m, 3x8m, 3x10m,
3x13m, RGB 2x2. -20°C,
|Processing:||Acquired via Sequencer II (dither 3) and CCDSoft, reduced and
aligned, in Mira, Combined in Sigma, L 2x CCDSharp, LRGB combine in Maxim, LLRGB combine, curves, levels and other
processing in Photoshop.
|Optical System:||12.5” Ritchey-Chretien RCOS Truss @ F/9,
CCD camera, Paramount ME. AO7 guided.
|Comments:||Seeing was 2.5 arc-sec and deconvolved to 1.9
arc-sec. Published July, 2004 and March, 2005 in Sky & Telescope.
