NGC891 in Andromeda

Description: This edge-on spiral is around 10 million light years distant.  Based on its electromagnetic spectrum, it is thought to be a barred spiral.  This cannot be seen due to its edge-on orientation.
Exposure Data: 10/18,20/2003.  LRGB: 11x10m, 5x10m, 5x10m, 5x10m, RGB 2x2. -20C, 0.49 arc-sec./pixel.
Processing: Acquired via Sequencer II (dither 4) and CCDSoft, reduced and aligned, in Mira, Combined in Sigma, L 2x CCDSharp, DDP, RGB combine, DDP in Maxim, LRGB combine, curves, levels and other processing in Photoshop.
Optical System: 12.5 Ritchey-Chretien RCOS Truss @ F/9, ST-10XME NABG/CFW-8A CCD camera, Paramount ME. AO7 guided.
Comments: FWHM's at 2.0 arc-sec.
