NGC708 (large elliptical galaxy in center), NGC709 and NGC710 (spiral in
upper left). The grouping, not including NGC710, is collectively known
as "The Fath", source unknown.
|Exposure Data:||9/29,30/2003. LRGB: 15x10m, 3x10m,
3x10m, 3x10m. RGB 2x2. -10°C, 0.49 arc-sec./pixel.
|Processing:||Acquired via Sequencer II (dither 4) and CCDSoft, reduced and
aligned, in Mira, Combined in Sigma, L 2x CCDSharp, RGB combine in Maxim, LRGB combine, curves, levels and other
processing in Photoshop.
|Optical System:||12.5” Ritchey-Chretien RCOS Truss @ F/9,
CCD camera, Paramount ME. AO7 guided
|Comments:||Average FWHM was 2.4 arc-sec., deconvolved to
1.8 arc-sec. Up is SW. The background is elevated a bit to bring
out the faint details.
